Description

Play Shop Leader: Asif Gillani

An energetic and creative music teacher with an ability to get the very best out of pupils. A highly motivated and well qualified graduate musician.

Asif is an experienced guitar teacher, and teaches the music curriculum as well as providing individualised guitar or ukulele tuition, group and whole class ensemble music lessons to primary school and secondary aged children. He also has experience teaching music to children with special needs. Asif has successfully enabled his students to pass graded exams for the guitar with Trinity College London from grade 1 onwards with merits and distinction which has supported children for music scholarships and the 11 + exams and GCSE Music. He also has experience in performing arts and is a Spotlight registered actor with experience in theatre and film.

The PlayShop

The Playshop will teach the children the basics of  clapping rhythms, learning notation,warm up songs, singing, basic guitar learning
