Career Clubs for Young People

Our Career Clubs are After School Clubs for Secondary School Students designed to help them to decide their future career choice.

The Clubs are run as experiential learning workshops, where every student is given a real-life a Project they complete over ten weeks. They are supervised by a qualified instructor, who will guide and mentor the students.

The students will also get a chance to listen to experts from the industry and visit companies to experience first-hand what the work involves.

We are enrolling students for a Career Club Sponsored by the Great Western Railways. The Club will introduce students to the different types of careers associated with railways, such as:

The Clubs will be offered to four schools in Slough. Each School will be given a team project they can complete in 10 weeks. Most of the work can be done by students in their own time, but once a week, the Project staff and mentors will be available in their School from 4 pm-5 pm to help them to run the Project. During the Project, the students will visit GWR locations and see people at work. Each School will present their Project output to the Panel at the end of the Project, and the best team will get a prize.

The Project will start on the 30th of January and end on the 17th of April 2023.

Please use the form to register interest, and we will get back to you.
