#ARTSCAPE is an ambitious initiative to transform Slough through art, beautification and environmental consciousness. It seeks to make Slough a beautiful, vibrant town that becomes a talking point for its unique attractions.
This design represents the community’s strength and unity, emphasising individuals’ collaborative efforts in creating a thriving and inclusive environment in Slough. The imagery of hands symbolises the power of collective action and highlights the importance of community engagement and support. The shop was transformed into a community wall that showcases quotes from various community groups in Slough. These quotes highlight why individuals believe Slough is an exceptional place to live. By amplifying the voices of community members, this artwork fosters a sense of belonging, pride, and unity among residents. It serves as a vibrant representation of the rich tapestry of cultures and perspectives that define Slough.
The artwork for the former M&S shop features shapes of birds on trees and branches. These avian symbols will add a touch of natural beauty and remind us of the diverse population in Slough. In addition, the artwork includes intriguing facts about the history, current developments, and future aspirations of Slough. This combination aims to foster a connection between the community and its environment while promoting an appreciation for Slough’s heritage and progression.
